Yep D-1, this place has been rolling along exceptionally well in my view. Why, I think that if we were to poll everyone about now, we'd find that it is one absolute Web-based Woodstock. Even amongst the tribe here, a variety of accomplished sorts...I suppose folks here forgive my ramblings on these paths, which I hope never cause those unmentioned, as important as they are to the whole, to take offense. But, I was just thinking of how much various individuals bring here, whether it be Rob, the forum Poet Laureate; Monte, the Pictorial Poster of Excellence; Helives, and LiA with their Tome-esque Reviews; Dali with CD Covers of every sort; Tiger, Strat and huntr with advice on all matters of technological significance; and, of course, who can forget the kindness of Arb and McGlone, or the Soul of Ashes; or CCharlie/rasta (who knows how to classify him?); or that chick, Sainted Stephen; and if BD and Coach K weren't here, how'd we know about the East Coast south of NY?; and Ganges, dilcurrie, SD77, MSun, and all others of Foriegn Locales; besides, the contributions of Jerrob, BlkPeter, CFreedom, Deadbuck, Mickmac, the Doc, PurpleG, craven, the cranky Dire, the rare posts of High Flow; Treeap, caspers, Northstar; the fishing trio (boats?) of Elbow, JGly, and CLIFF; GoP, BE, both gone but not forgotten?; or WWDream; and the young punks like NC & K-Man; not to mention Baron, Lobster, Wharf rat or otherwise, Compsurf, veblen, UUnknown, SDH, CPW and his early era girls; or Earl and economics 101; alyca, SRCueball and his recent hijinks; or SpSwords, Stealz, snori, ducats blow?, nagdot or is it me?, ringsbells, fireeagle, dilcurrie, greenbud, MDewd, patourkid; Pkelley--the kid lawyer; JOTS and the Pats GROK; BGnarley, Wineland, Not a typical, darkeyes, Liam, Deadbuck, Cush of bookstore fame, JodyC, airgarcia, D&Mercy, OldNJhead, GrendelC the liberal, MindofJ and the submariners of today, Zaorish, CCity, Sleib, AND PPecker JGannon, dogsinapile, waynecs, Nedhead, billydlions, finnisterbaby, JS 86, littledire; Miss Divine, the future Mrs Prime Minister (?); edgehead, snow & rain, soogJohnson, skippy61, JCed, squbarker, amosearle, buscameby...this is going way too long! But there's you too, DH...crap. I have tried this memory hook device I learned in college that takes less than five seconds to commit a name to permanent memory...but I think I failed. I had to think of something they exchanged with me for it to work...sorry.

Well!

Gone AND Forgotten.

*looks peevishly snubbed, righteous, and indignated*

Ha--that's what you get for that...you were actually there, trust me, and got deleted.

Now, you think I am making this up? Seriously--you were "in" as an abbreviation--"DM" and I know this because I have to go back to a previous time I did it (ie, I cheat) because the little memory trick only works with recent interactions, and I used by "letter D" for the likes of Death/mercy, Dire and so on, and then thought they had been covered, but the "DM" for "death and mercy" that I had interacted with, "REPLACED" your "DM" in my little memory list...

Does that make sense? So, it was a mistake, as I mentioned, because you were there six months ago, but yesterday couldn't be recalled because you were replaced by a DM poster I had interacted with more recently...

Sorry, but otherwise, I would have to actually WORK at this and it wouldn't be "fun"...

Well, I dunno, it DOES sound like you used to be able to do that trick but now you can't so it sounds like you are just getting old, so if that's the case I can only concur with robust agreement. Just glad its not me.

Carry on with your grabs at youth.

:)

Wow, that's comprehensive! But I was surprised to see Miss D. so far down the list... :p

And don't forget William Tell, the stabilizing influence that keeps the rest of us from spinning completely loose from the axis... :)
